Gauri Guha is a seasoned business leader and master classical vocalist who has succeeded internationally in both the business world as well as in the fine arts over the last 40 years. She has worked extensively in the fields of Administration in South Asia, South America, Europe and North America in government and diplomatic organizations such as Food Corporation of India, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Indian High Commission in Guyana, and notable financial institutions as State Bank of India and Scotiabank in Canada.

She has received several awards from the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council, Shastri Indo Canadian Institute, Dominion Institute of Passages to Canada, The Association of Women of India in Canada (AWIC) and many other organizations focused on enriching the cultural landscape in Canada and improving the immigrant experience.

  • Held full-time senior management position in Scotiabank and worked for 27 years. In September 2010, was nominated and selected by the Global Human Resources of Scotiabank as one of the 24 extraordinary women world-wide in the “Her Success, Her Way” Program.
  • May 2007 to date – a registered members of the Speakers’ Bureau of Dominion Institute Passages to Canada and regularly deliver motivational/inspirational speeches in Junior, Middle and High schools of Toronto Board of Education and private schools.
  • May 5, 2008 – participated in Educational Round Table discussion on “How to facilitate inclusive education through Asian Arts” at Asian Heritage Month Festival
  • May 23, 2008– delivered speech on “Multi-culturalism and Identity” at the Revenue Canada, Toronto, Canada.
  • October 27, 2008 – delivered speech on “Passion and Determination” at the Sales Rally of Scotiabank, Scarborough, Ontario. Canada.

  • April 8, 2016 – participated in multi-faith (Hindu, Buddhist and Christian) panel discussion on “Music and Spirituality”, Innis College, University of Toronto.
  • Summer 2007 to Summer 2012 – participated in the Mentoring Partnership Program in collaboration with Triac and Scotiabank. Assisted several new immigrants to learn job skills to get into Canadian work force and was nominated as one of the Best Mentors/Coaches.
  • Nov. 5, 2010 – selected by the Toronto Reference Library as a Human Book and participated at the Malvern Public Library. The program was launched for the first time in Toronto.
